GNU IceCat

Giuseppe Scrivano finally released GNU IceCat 3.5, the fully free software firefox clone of the GNU project.

All features of firefox are present but GNU IceCat only links and suggests free addons (plugins, themes, extensions) on his own web page.

A .deb package will be available soon.

Note: if you are using gNewSense 2.2 and you enabled the IceCat repository, you will get your favourite browser nex time you update your distro.

Help wanted

Development of GNU IceCat is a volunteer effort, and additional contributors are welcome: developers, testers, documentation writers, or any other area. Please write the mailing list.

Giuseppe Scrivano ha finalmente rilasciato GNU IceCat 3.5, il clone di firefox completamente libero del progetto GNU.

Tutte le caratteristice di firefox sono presenti ma GNU IceCat suggerisce soltanto addons liberi (plugins, temi, estensioni) sulla propria pagina web.

Un pacchetto .deb sara’ disponibile quanto prima.

Nota: se stai usando gNewSense 2.2 e hai abilitato il repository di repository di IceCat, otterrai il tuo browser preferito la prossima volta che aggiornerai la tua distribuzione.

Lo sviluppo di GNU IceCat e’ frutto del lavoro di volontari e qualsiasi aiuto e’ ben accetto: sviluppatori, tester, autori per la documentazione o altro. Per favore iscriviti alla mailing list.

Finally I had some time to organize all my photo galleries.

The new Photos page now has shots taken during my last trips to Fuerteventura and London.

I used a wonderful free software called gThumb.

Enjoy.Sono finalmente riuscito a oganizzare tutte le foto.

La nuova pagina Photos ora include scatti dai miei ultimi viaggi a Fuerteventura e Londra.

Ho usato un meraviglioso software libero chiamato  gThumb.

  2. Considerations on Patents that Read on Language Infrastructure

We already have a lot of patent free and standard programming languages. Please consider using them.Giusto un paio di considerazioni sulle future possibile minacce poste alla tua liberta’ dal linguaggio di programmazione mono:

Abbiamo gia’ diversi linguaggi di programmazione liberi da brevetto e standard.

Per favore cerca di usare quelli.Solo un par de pensamientos acerca del futuro de posibles amenazas a su
libertad que pose Mono:

It’s been a while since I wrote my last post.

Sorbaioli.org now is fully updated and enhanced. I cleand up all my ftp and database, I installed Wordpress 2.8 and some useful plugins.

I decided to maintain the beautiful dfblog theme because of its Keep It Simple design.

Sorbaioli.org now is translated in three languages, it has less images and more text. You can browse it easily from your mobile phone or handheld device.

I am slowly moving all my free software lists and articles to the LibrePlanet Italia wiki so please be patient.

More photos from my recent trips will be online soon.

In the meantime feel free to translate a page or post in your favourite language (Japanese translators are greatly appreciated).

I need your suggestions to improve this website so feel free to contact me.

Sorbaioli.org ora e’ completamente aggiornato e migliorato. Ho fatto pulizia di tutto il mio ftp e database, installato Wordpress 2.8 e alcuni utilii plugin.

Ho scelto di mantenere il bellissimo tema dfblog a causa del suo design semplice e veloce.

Sorbaioli.org ora e’ tradotto in tre lingue, ha meno immagini e piu’ testo. E’ facilmente navigabile dal tuo cellulare o palmare.

Sto piano piano spostando tutto l’elenco di programmi, giochi liberi, articoli sul wiki di LibrePlanet Italia. Un po’ di pazienza, a breve sara’ tutto a posto.

Nuove foto dei miei recenti viaggi saranno online a breve.

Nel frattempo se lo desideri puoi tradurre una pagina o un post in una lingua che conosci (una traduzione in giapponese sarebbe particolarmente gradita).
